Summary

Adjunct faculty has the responsibility for providing online instruction in the RN-BSN and MSN programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for creating a positive learning environment that prepares students for the complexities of today’s workplace
Promote intellectual and personal development through personally focused learning opportunities, preparing students to succeed, lead and serve
Perform duties including, but not limited to, the instruction and education of students
Support student recruitment and retention efforts
Work collegially with administrators and fellow Educators.
Contribute to the development, review, and revision of program policies

Required Education

Required:

Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years practice experience
Possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
Possess a Doctoral degree in nursing (PhD in Nursing, Education, or a Doctorate of Nursing Practice [DNP])
Demonstrated experience in nursing education

Preferred:

Successful academic experience: a minimum of two years
Experience and/or certification in online instruction
Nurse Educator certification (CNE)
Strong organizational and computer skills

Other:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook; proficiency in Moodle is preferred

Salary

Salary is based upon the number of credit hours taught and the number of students registered for the class being taught.
