About 300 Trine University students attended a watch party Monday night, Sept. 26, in the university’s Fabiani Theatre for the first presidential debate between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. Similar events are planned for the second and third presidential debates Oct. 9 and 19, and for the vice presidential debate scheduled for Oct. 4. A voter registration drive has been taking place as part of the university’s Trine Votes initiative, and the effort also will include a Meet the Candidates forum sponsored by the Angola Area Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 19.
