Trine University hosted Rep. Jim Banks, the congressman representing Indiana’s 3rd District, on Wednesday, May 31. Banks toured Innovation One, Trine’s business and idea incubator, along with a seventh-grade group from Angola Middle School. He also learned more about the Swimming Reaction Lights produced at Trine and met with Trine President Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., as well as other administrators and faculty members. Jason Blume, executive director of Innovation One, said the congressman was impressed by what he saw.
“Today I visited @TrineUniversity & learned about inventions alumni have created,” Banks later tweeted along with a photo from Trine’s Hall of Innovation. “One patented the dimples on golf balls for @Spalding.”
