Anthony Kline, Ph.D., dean of the Franks School of Education at Trine University,
has been voted by deans from colleges and universities across the state to the executive
committee of the Indiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (IACTE).
"It is an honor to be elected to this committee, and I’m humbled to help represent education deans of institutions throughout Indiana,” he said. “I'm confident that the experiences I gain from this service will help us strengthen the exciting growth occurring in Franks School of Education at Trine University."
A professional association of higher education institutions with undergraduate and/or graduate programs for professional educators, the IACTE is made up of university administrators and faculty.
Kline was elected to a two-year term on the executive committee, which sets annual goals for the association, develops and implements policy, and approves budget plans.
The head of the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) joined Trine University students remotely to help launch its new Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI), part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Jeremy Goossens, director of esports and industry innovation at Trine University, was named Director of the Season by ECAC Esports, the comprehensive collegiate esports league where Trine competes, for spring 2026.
The Trine University music program will open its 2026-2027 concert season with the return of its annual “Halloween Haunt-cert” at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.
