Steve Gusa, ice hockey arena technician at Trine University, drives the university’s Zamboni on the ice at the Thunder Ice Arena on Wednesday, Aug. 30. The Zamboni Model 500, a loaner until the university receives its brand-new Zamboni early next year, has been rebranded with Trine graphics. The arena opens to the public on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
