Indiana Secretary of Career Connections and Talent Blair Milo visited the Trine University campus on Thursday, June 7.
Milo, who previously served as mayor of LaPorte, was appointed to the new cabinet-level position by Gov. Eric Holcomb last year. In her role, Milo oversees the State Personnel Department and is responsible for connecting Indiana residents with employers to fill the estimated 1 million job openings expected over the next 10 years in Indiana.
In addition to an overall tour of campus, Milo visited Innovation One, the university’s business and idea incubator, and the Allen School of Engineering and Technology. She learned about Trine’s skills training, programs, internships and cooperative programs, and relationships with business and industry.
