University mourns loss of sophomore Erik Snyder

The Trine University family is mourning the sudden loss of a student who was killed Friday evening, March 1, along with his mother in an automobile accident in Ohio.

Erik Snyder, 19, a sophomore from London, Ohio, majoring in golf management, and his mother, Kelly Snyder, were among the victims of a multi-vehicle collision, according to the Bellefontaine (Ohio) Examiner.

Erik was a member of Tee It Up Trine, the university’s golf management organization.

“We offer our deepest condolences to Erik’s family, friends and loved ones,” said Earl D. Brooks, Ph.D., Trine University president. “This is a tragic loss, and we ask everyone to keep the family in particular in their thoughts and prayers.”
