Richard M. Hickman, mayor of Angola, shared a message to welcome Trine University students:

The City of Angola is excited to welcome back all of our returning students as well as welcoming our new students to the campus of Trine University and the City of Angola. We wish you all well during this school year as you all enter into this new phase of your lives. Our community is excited that you are here and we want this to be a great experience for all of you. You are an important part of our community educationally as well as culturally. Please feel free to contact me any time you have questions or concerns about our community.

Life with COVID-19 is still new to all of us. You will face more than the normal challenges of University life with the virus still hanging over your heads. We encourage you to follow all of the medical directions and options that Trine University is making available to you. We want this to be a safe, healthy and enjoyable experience for all of you.

Again, we welcome you to the City of Angola. GO THUNDER!!!
