Trine podcast discusses finding sport industry jobs

Brian ClappIn the newest episode of Trine University’s Center for Sports Studies podcast, an executive from an industry-leading job board shares tips on landing a job in sports.

Brian Clapp serves as vice president of content and engaged Learning at WorkInSports.com, which lists more than 20,000 jobs available in all areas of the sport industry. The site also provides resources for job seekers. 

In the podcast, Clapp discusses how those interested in a sport industry job can determine their career direction, obtain the essential skills for their dream job and network with sport professionals.

Produced through the Trine Broadcasting Network, the Trine Center for Sports Studies podcast focuses on the business side of sports, including interviews with sports professionals and current research in sports studies. Trine chemical engineering students earn national distinctions

Trine University chemical engineering graduate Parker Reichhart has earned national recognition, receiving two awards in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Student Design Competition. The awards were presented during the 2025 Annual Student Conference, held Nov. 1–4 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Amanda Malefyt, Ph.D., professor in the McKetta Department of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering at Trine University, has been elected to serve as a director within the Education Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), beginning her four-year term this month.
