presentation competition sponsored by the Metropolitan Indianapolis Branch of the
ASCE.
The competition was open to all ASCE student chapters in the Indiana Section, including
schools like Valparaiso, Evansville, Notre Dame, and Rose Hulman. Most students presented
their capstone projects, and entries were judged on their presentation skills and
the ability to answer questions.
The judges praised the Trine team for citing the design standards used throughout
their presentation.
Each student was awarded $200, and the university received a plaque that travels to
the winning school each year.

When their son Parker received his diploma from Trine University President Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., at this year’s May Commencement, it was a full-circle moment for Stephen and Brooke Pelletier.
