Trine pairs compete in collegiate bridge tournament

Three pairs of students from Trine University’s Bridge Club competed in the American
Contract Bridge League (ACBL) online collegiate pairs tournament on April 23.
The event featured two sessions of bridge, each about three hours long.
Cameron Orr, a Master of Business Administration student from Angola, Indiana, and
Treyton Sederstrom, an actuarial science major from Cedar Lake, Indiana, finished
15th out of 29 teams competing.
Isaac Braun, a chemical engineering major from Portland, Indiana, and Alex Kratzer,
a mechanical engineering major from Elkhart, Indiana, placed 27th. Ryan Hoak, a civil
engineering major from Warsaw, Indiana, and Christopher Shively, an accounting major
from Churubusco, Indiana, placed 28th.
Having graduated from Trine University, Fr. Bryan Paulsen, S.J., Ph.D., hoped to have a current Trine student work as part of his Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) team this summer at the University of Notre Dame.
Welcoming employees to a new school year for the first time as president, Tony Kline, Ph.D., praised them for helping make Trine University one of the region’s premier institutions.
When their son Parker received his diploma from Trine University President Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., at this year’s May Commencement, it was a full-circle moment for Stephen and Brooke Pelletier.
