DETROIT — Trine University will offer its first hybrid doctoral program, the Doctor of Information Technology, at its Detroit Education Center beginning in spring 2024.
This program focuses on incorporating information technology to address organizations’ high-level challenges. Students in the program will evaluate the latest advancements in information technology and identify real-world industry challenges.
Coursework covers information systems management and application development, culminating in an applied research project.
Graduates will be equipped to assess the relevance of current and emerging technology to business management, develop solutions to real-world technology issues, and contribute to existing scholarship in the field.
The DIT program joins the popular master’s degree offerings at Trine University’s Detroit Education Center, which already enrolls more than 5,000 students. The center is located at 1000 Republic Drive, Suite 645, in Allen Park, Michigan.
It is Trine University’s second doctoral degree program. The university launched its popular Doctor of Physical Therapy program, now part of the Dr. Earl and Melanie Brooks College of Health Professions in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 2014.
