Trine University’s Health Science Association is accepting registrations for the university’s annual Homecoming 5K run/walk, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 7.
The 5K begins at 8:15 a.m. at the Ryan Skywalk on Thunder Drive.
The theme for this year’s event is “Run for Our Heroes.” Participants may feel free to dress up as their favorite superhero.
There is no cost to participate. Commemorative T-shirts are available for $15, with proceeds benefitting the First Responders Foundation.
The First Responders Foundation serves and honors all first responders, veterans and their families. The organization seeks to build appreciation and respect for first responders’ work and enhance public safety.

Trine University students learned about opportunities available with the Purdue Data Mine during a special presentation on April 10 in the Mark and Sarah Music/Ruoff Mortgage Esports Arena.
Trine University has received a lead gift from Dr. Rick L. James, alumnus and chair of the university’s Board of Trustees, and his wife, Dr. Vicki L. James, for a new building to house Trine’s business school.
Trine University’s esports teams won the Block House Esports League MIAA competition Sunday, April 12, the first time Trine has secured the title in back-to-back semesters.
