Trine names Homecoming royalty

Homecoming CourtTrine University recognized its 2023 Homecoming court as well as its king and queen during the annual Thunderstruck Pep Rally, held at the MTI Center on Friday, Oct. 6.

Andrea Rodeheffer of Minster, Ohio, was crowned Homecoming queen.

Rodeheffer is a senior majoring in design engineering technology with a minor in plastics. She also will graduate with her MBA.

She is involved in multiple groups on campus, including Society of Women Engineers and Engineers without Borders. She also was a pole vaulter on the track and field team.

She plans to work after graduation at Jayco Campers and RVs, where she has interned for the past three summers.

Thaddeus Marcola of Almont, Michigan, was named Homecoming king.

Marcola is a senior majoring in finance and marketing. He also is earning a Master of Science in business analytics.

Marcola is a member of Trine’s NCAA men’s hockey team, Delta Mu Delta, Athletes Connected and the National College Athletes Honors Society. He also works at Zollner Golf Course and plays in a weekly golf league.

He aspires to play professional hockey and become a financial analyst at a large corporation.

Other members of the Homecoming court included:

  • Brayanna Kelly of Milford, Indiana, a senior majoring in psychology and criminal justice. Kelly is a member of Trine’s acrobatics and tumbling team and Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and is part of residence life. She plans to earn a Ph.D. and start her own counseling services for low income families suffering from domestic violence.
  • Michael Pacer of Maumee, Ohio, a junior majoring in marketing and earning his MBA. Pacer is vice president of Trine’s Student Government, and is a member of the Ehinger Fellows. He also is a SOAR and fall orientation leader. He hopes to work in sales after graduating.
  • Madison Toor of Howell, Michigan, is a senior majoring in exercise science. She is a member of the women’s hockey team and works at Zollner Golf Course. Her future plans include attending chiropractic school to become a doctor in chiropractic.
  • Geordi Mcintyre of Marion, Indiana, is a senior majoring in criminal justice. He is a member of the American Criminal Justice Association, Blackstone Law Club and Student Government. He plans to work in law enforcement and eventually become a detective.
  • Maggie Buza of Plymouth, Indiana, is a junior double majoring in forensic science and biology, with a double minor in chemistry and criminal justice. She is a member of Trine University Future Forensic Scientists and the University Choir, and is a sister of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She plans to work as a blood spatter analyst and bring aid to those living with disabilities.
  • Aiden McGonagle of Lake Ozark, Missouri, is a senior majoring in actuarial science. He is the goalkeeper for Trine’s men’s soccer team. He plans to work in statistical probabilities with insurance, and as a high school goalkeeper coach.
