August 11, 2023

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has announced the recipients of the 2022-23 MIAA Academic Honor Roll and 2022-23 MIAA Team GPA Awards. Trine University athletics had several teams and many players earn accolades from the conference for their performance in the classroom this school year.

The MIAA Team GPA Award is presented to conference athletic teams that achieve a 3.300 or better GPA for an academic year. Grade-point averages are calculated at the end of the academic year.

Trine was one of six MIAA members that had 50 percent or more of their MIAA-sponsored athletic teams receive recognition. All ten of the MIAA-sponsored women's sports offered by Trine achieved the MIAA Team GPA Award.

Four of the top five highest GPAs in the conference came from teams at Trine University. The Trine University women's (3.93) and men's (3.89) tennis programs as well as the Trine University women's cross country program (3.83) were the top three academic achievers in the league. The Trine University women's golf squad was fifth overall (3.80).
