Chet Pinkham, Ph.D., professor emeritus, was honored by the Northeastern Indiana section
of the American Chemical Society at its annual awards ceremony and banquet on May
24.
Pinkham was honored for 60 years of service to the organization. The event, held at Purdue Fort Wayne, also honored Regional Science Fair winners, participants in this year's Chemistry Olympiad and high school scholarship examination winners.
The Angola Area Chamber of Commerce honored Trine University for the Best Business Contribution to the Community at its 12th annual Excellence in Business Accolades, known as Ebbies, on April 23.
Areeba Kazi, a Trine University biology major from Angola, Indiana, is the winner of the inaugural Jannen School of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Award for Excellence in Student Research.
Trine University has selected Jon VanderWal, a veteran coach with a history of NCAA tournament success, to head its men’s basketball program.
