The witches of Macbeth, played by, from left, Lou Ann Homan, Amy Oberlin and Jan Thomas,
performed at last year's Poe Night at Trine University and will be part of this year's
event on Oct. 26.
Triskaidekaphobics (those who fear the number 13) beware!
Trine University will host its 13th annual Poe Night on Thursday, Oct. 26.
The historically unlucky number will align with a celebration of the Master of the
Macabre beginning at 7 bells (7 p.m.) in Wells Theatre, located inside Taylor Hall
on Trine’s Angola campus.
Members of the community, Prof. Lou Ann Homan’s speech class and Trine University’s
Drama Club will perform famous stories and poetry by Edgar Allan Poe. Tom Adamson
will also perform on the violin.
The event will last about an hour.
Poe Night is free and open to the public, but those who wish to attend should not
test their luck, as seating is strictly limited to 75.
Anyone interested in participating can contact Homan for more information at homanl@trine.edu.
