Trine University and the City of Angola unveiled a new road sign honoring the Trine University softball team on Oct. 13. The sign, located on U.S. 20 near Zollner Golf Course, celebrates the team's 2023 NCAA Division III national championship. Several team members joined for the unveiling, along with Matt Land, left, assistant vice president for athletics, Don Danklefsen, third from left, softball coach, Richard Hickman, center, mayor of Angola, Dennis Smith, fourth from right, assistant softball coach, and John Shannon, Ph.D., right, Trine University president.
