100% of Trine surgical technology graduates pass exam, get jobs

December 21, 2023

FORT WAYNE — All the graduates of Trine University’s Associate of Applied Science in surgical technology program have once again passed their national certification exam and gained employment prior to or at graduation.

The program has seen all its students employed and certified by graduation since its inception in 2019.

Program director Jennifer Lloyd attributed the continued success of Trine graduates to experienced instructors who make themselves available to students outside of class hours and strong clinical partnerships throughout the Fort Wayne area.

“Our clinical partners are very engaged in helping Trine students succeed as surgical technologists,” she said. “In addition, our program instructors bring a combined 90 years in the field, providing Trine students with real-world insights to complement their theoretical knowledge and practical experiences.”

Trine University’s Associate of Applied Science in surgical technology program prepares students for a career in the growing field of surgical technology, allowing them to complete a degree in as little as 17 months. The program provides maximum clinical exposure, beginning in the first semester, at multiple sites.
