State of the University looks back on successes, ahead to future
Welcoming employees to a new school year for the first time as president, Tony Kline, Ph.D., praised them for helping make Trine University one of the region’s premier institutions.

Three pairs from Trine University’s Bridge Club competed the National American Contract Bridge League's online collegiate bridge tournament on April 21.
Cameron Orr, an MBA student from Angola, Indiana, and Isaac Braun, a chemical engineering major from Portland, Indiana, placed first in the competition’s C flight in the second round.
The other Trine pairs were Treyton Sederstrom, an actuarial science major from Cedar Lake, Indiana, and Ryan Hoak, a civil engineering major from Warsaw, Indiana, and Alex Kratzer, a mechanical engineering major from Elkhart, Indiana, and Christopher Shively, an accounting major from Churubusco, Indiana.
Twenty-two pairs total took part in the event. The teams played 24 rounds, took a meal break, then played another 24 rounds.
Trine’s team will compete in the North American Bridge Championship from July 25-27 in Toronto.
