Former Colts CFO joins Trine podcast

Kurt HumphreyThe newest episode of Trine University’s Center for Sports Studies podcast features the former chief financial officer of the Indianapolis Colts, Kurt Humphrey.

Humphrey was CFO of the Colts for 37 years and one of their first full-time hires after the team relocated to Indianapolis in 1984. As CFO, he was responsible for financial oversight and reporting, monitoring the salary cap, and working with players to help them understand the NFL’s financial processes.

In this episode, he talks about the CFO’s role in professional football, how the NFL is unique compared to other businesses, and shares some behind-the-scenes stories, including his favorite memories from working with the Colts.
