Trine University’s Detroit Education Center celebrated its grand opening with an open
house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 22. Trine’s Vice President of Online and
International Studies, Keirsten Eberts, spoke at the event, followed by the Allen
Park Chamber Executive Director Jim Beri.
“This is an exciting day, as we stand in a space that not only symbolizes growth and
progress but also reflects our commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities
for our students,” said Eberts.
“This facility is designed with our educational community in mind,” Eberts shared.
The new facility has eight classrooms, a dedicated mother’s room, two meditation and
prayer rooms, 20 offices to support their faculty and staff, and separate common areas
for students and staff.
“This center is more than just a building; it’s a place where ideas will be born,
knowledge will be shared, and lifelong connections will be made.”
Now located at 999 Republic Drive, Suite 200, Allen Park, the Detroit Education Center
serves nearly 5,200 students. The new space will help accommodate the growing student
population.
“At a time when higher education nationwide is facing significant challenges, we are
incredibly fortunate to be experiencing such growth at Trine,” Eberts said proudly.
“We look forward to the many achievements and successes that will come from this new
chapter in Trine University’s story.”
