Trine University invites the community to join a pregame gathering prior to the Thunder’s NCAA Division III men’s basketball Sweet 16 matchup against Washington University-St. Louis on Friday.
The free event will be held in the main gym of Hershey Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. and will include snacks, drawings and a complimentary first drink for those of age (beer and wine only), followed by a cash bar.
Trine and Washington will tip off at 7:30 p.m. in the MTI Center. Tickets for the game are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors, students or children 2 and over.

Trine University will host NCAA Division III men’s basketball sectional semifinal and final rounds this weekend after defeating Fontbonne University and Coe College in the first two rounds of the tournament. Victories this weekend would send the Thunder to the Final Four in Fort Wayne.
Trine University students learned about opportunities available with the Purdue Data Mine during a special presentation on April 10 in the Mark and Sarah Music/Ruoff Mortgage Esports Arena.
Trine University has received a lead gift from Dr. Rick L. James, alumnus and chair of the university’s Board of Trustees, and his wife, Dr. Vicki L. James, for a new building to house Trine’s business school.
Trine University’s esports teams won the Block House Esports League MIAA competition Sunday, April 12, the first time Trine has secured the title in back-to-back semesters.
