Trine University Theatre has announced the cast and crew for its upcoming production
of “The Mousetrap,” by Agatha Christie.
The play will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 7 and 8, and at 2 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Ryan Concert Hall of the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.
Tickets are on sale for $10 each for the general public, $5 for students ages 5-17 and
free for Trine students and employees. They are available at trine.edu/furthtickets.
A murder mystery, “The Mousetrap” is the world’s longest-running play, having been
performed continuously in London’s West End since 1952, with stage performances temporarily
halted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The plot centers on seven strangers snowed in
at a remote guesthouse in the country and their connection to a murder in London.
Cast members are as follows:
Macy Bonifield, an elementary education/special education major from Warsaw, Indiana,
as Mollie Ralston
Ben Hercules, design engineering technology major from New Franklin, Ohio, as Giles
Ralston
Jonah Kyle, a computer science and information technology major from Valparaiso, Indiana,
as Christopher Wren
Sage Scherzer, a communication major from Elkhorn, Wisconsin, as Mrs. Boyle
Dominic Garner, an extended reality major from Garrett, Indiana, as Major Metcalf
Evyenia Butterfield, a science education major from Valparaiso, Indiana, as Miss Casewell
Judah Witmer, a psychology major from Angola, Indiana, as Mr. Paravicini
Cade Tucker, a computer engineering major from Winchester, Indiana, as Detective Sergeant
Trotter
Adam Breen, a general engineering major from Fremont, Indiana, as the Voice on the
Radio
Jace McCall, an extended reality major from Indianapolis, is the male understudy.
Alyssa Martin, a social studies education major from Auburn, Indiana, is the female
understudy.
Lou Ann Homan, Trine lecturer, is serving as director, with assistance from Lydia
Roop, the university’s marketing and communication coordinator. Trine alumnus Sean
Carpenter is stage manager and Joanna Claudy, assistant professor in the Department
of Humanities and Communication, is technical director.
Tim Hopp, Ph.D., professor in Trine’s Department of Humanities and Communication,
is producer for the play.
The Trine Theatre program is part of the university’s Department of Humanities and
Communication.
Zander Atwood, assistant professor of sport management and director of the Center for Sports Studies at Trine University, is co-author of a new textbook covering sports ticket sales and revenue generation.
