3 in Trine’s Office of International Services move to new roles

Trine University has promoted two staff members within its Office of International
Services (OIS), with a third transitioning to a new role.
Kaboos
Allison Kaboos has been promoted to director of practical training. She previously
served as curricular practical training advisor.
In her new role, she will work with the growing number of international students seeking
experience in their field of study during or upon completion of their degree.
“Allison's dedication, innovation, and performance have been evident throughout her
time at Trine. Moreover, her efficiency and innovation has brought about transformative
changes, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in our operations,” said Hannah Ewing,
executive director of international services and operations at Trine. “Her willingness
to share knowledge and support others reflects her commitment to fostering a culture
of growth and excellence within our organization.”
Sharma
Srijana Sharma has been promoted to senior director of international admission. She
previously served as director of international graduate admission.
“Srijana has been an indispensable member of the OIS team, and her contributions have
been instrumental in our continued success and unprecedented growth in enrollment.
Her dedication, expertise and willingness to help have been observed throughout her
time here at Trine,” said Ewing. “Srijana's unparalleled knowledge in her role, coupled
with her willingness to go above and beyond to support her colleagues, make her truly
stand out. She consistently demonstrates leadership qualities, innovative thinking
and a collaborative spirit that enriches the success of OIS.”
Duran
Cassie Duran will transition to the role of assistant director of international student
services, focusing exclusively on undergraduate students at Trine’s Angola campus.
She previously served as assistant director of international services.
“Cassie's dedication and passion for our Angola campus international students has
been evident from day one,” Ewing said. “Cassie's advocacy and support have made a
significant impact, ensuring that our students feel valued and supported every step
of the way. I truly couldn't think of a better fit for this role, and I have full
confidence in Cassie's ability to excel in her new position.”
A digital marketing campaign developed and executed by a team member in Trine University’s Office of Marketing and Communications has been honored among the recipients of the 2026 Circle of Excellence Awards, announced by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education on July 1.
Trine University’s Allen School of Engineering and Computing hosted a seminar by Hideki Arahari, Ph.D., of Basic Research Laboratories at NTT, Inc. in Japan, on Monday, June 29.
Four Trine University mechanical engineering students presented their original research at an international conference focusing on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and microsystems technologies.
