Zollner ranked among top collegiate golf courses

February 19, 2024

Trine University’s Zollner Golf Course is ranked number 10 on the list of Top 25 College Golf Courses from the Golfers’ Choice Awards 2024.

On Jan. 15, the GolfPass team released their Golfers’ Choice lists for 2024. Zollner is no stranger to the list, ranking for its fifth consecutive year in a row. The list rankings are decided based on GolfPass reviews and feedback. The site is home to over 1.5 million course reviews for over 15,000 courses. The Golfers’ Choice lists recognizes top courses in a variety of categories, including America’s Top 25 College Golf Courses.

“I am proud of our team and what they do each day in providing our customers with an exceptional golf experience each time they visit our facility,” said Jon Busscher, director of golf operations at Trine University.

Busscher acknowledged the significance of this accomplishment adding, “this award is solely based on customer reviews, feedback and experiences. Being ranked the number 10 college course in the country is an honor and testament to our team’s hard work and passion for our course.”

For its Golfers’ Choice Top 25 College Golf Courses, GolfPass evaluated reviews of courses across the country. Zollner’s reviews noted the top-tier attention given to their greens and the unique features of the course. Courses needed receive at least 10 reviews in 2023 to qualify.

“Many colleges and universities have invested heavily in their golf courses in recent years, so for Zollner Golf Course to be honored among the Golfers’ Choice top 25 College Golf Courses for the fifth consecutive year in 2024 speaks to the quality of the layout and the dedication of the staff to deliver a good experience season after season,” remarked Jason Deegan, GolfPass managing editor.

Trine University’s Zollner golf course was also featured on Golf Pass’s Golfers' Choice: Best Golf Courses in Indiana in 2020 and 2021, as well as making an appearance in the article The Beauty of Playing College Golf Courses. Zollner Golf Course will open for the season on April 1.
