Rick Henvey, chief executive officer for Parkview Health, was named Trine University’s
Pillar of Success during the university’s Touchstone and Homecoming Celebration Dinner
on Oct. 3.
Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., Trine University president, presented the award to Henvey,
who serves on the university’s Board of Trustees, near the conclusion of the event.
“His leadership and partnership have continued to strengthen the relationship between
Parkview and Trine as both organizations seek to meet the growing healthcare needs
of this region,” Dr. Brooks said in presenting the award.
“I’m humbled and honored for the recognition. In my job, I’m fortunate to be surrounded
by some very talented people who do the heavy lifting,” Henvey said. “It’s been amazing
to watch what Dr. Brooks and his team have done in health sciences in the last decade
in northeast Indiana. I’m excited for what Trine will do moving ahead.”
The Touchstone Celebration was held in the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Inc. Athletic
and Recreation Center.

Henvey has served as chief executive officer for Parkview Health since 2023. He has
been with the organization for 19 years, leading its strategic growth across northern
Indiana and northwest Ohio. Today, Parkview Health includes 15 hospitals and an extensive

Henvey is heavily engaged in the community and serves on boards throughout the region,
including the Trine University Board of Trustees, the Northeast Indiana Boys and Girls
Club and the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership. A member of Trine’s board since
2017, he has been part of the development/campaign, enrollment and marketing, and
campus planning committees.
Trine University honored Kathy Eikenberry, known along with her husband Mike for her service and philanthropy throughout the Greater Fort Wayne area, with its annual Woman of Distinction Award during the university’s annual Touchstone and Homecoming Celebration Dinner on Oct. 3.
