Trine’s Thunder Therapy offering OT services starting in January

Trine University’s Thunder Therapy Clinic, which provides pro-bono rehabilitation services to those in the Fort Wayne area with limited means, will offer occupational therapy beginning in January.

Thunder Therapy is a referral-based clinic operated by students in Trine University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Occupational Therapy programs under the supervision of faculty members.

The clinic, located at the Brooks College of Health Professions, 12817 Parkview Plaza Drive, has provided physical therapy services since 2017.

The Thunder Therapy Clinic works with children, adolescents, adults and older adults to address areas including sensory needs, neuromuscular reeducation, home exercise programs, recommendations for assistive devices and ADL retraining.

The clinic accepts patients referred by the Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic and area clinicians.

The patient’s provider can either write a prescription and fax it to the Thunder Therapy fax number at 260.918-9494 or fill out the referral form on trine.edu.
