AIMM returns to Pokagon State Park this weekend

April 15, 2026

Trine University and Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division (NWSC Crane) invite the public to the Artificial Intelligence Maritime Maneuver Indiana Collegiate Challenge (AIMM ICC) this Friday and Saturday.

The third AIMM ICC will take place at Pokagon State Park, hosted by NSWC Crane and Trine University.

Teams from five Indiana colleges and universities — Indiana University, Purdue University, Purdue Fort Wayne, the University of Notre Dame and Trine — have developed low-profile vessels (LPVs) guided by artificial intelligence (AI). The teams will compete to see which vessel can successfully complete the most tasks in the least amount of time.

Students from area high schools will visit AIMM ICC from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday to participate in STEM activities and interact with the college students.
