Expanded partnership allows Ivy Tech students easier entry into Trine programs

January 12, 2026

Trine University and Ivy Tech Community College are expanding their partnership to allow more Ivy Tech graduates to seamlessly transfer into Trine University bachelor’s degree programs.

Students who complete one of 32 professional certificates or associate degrees at Ivy Tech will be able to continue into bachelor’s degree programs at Trine in areas such as business, communication, science, engineering and computing, nursing, criminal justice, education, healthcare administration and psychology.

“We know that many students who have already been successful at Ivy Tech will want to receive the career benefits of completing a bachelor’s degree,” said Kim Bennett, vice president for enrollment management at Trine. “This expanded partnership provides added value and a clearer pathway for those students to our career-focused programs at Trine.”

Admission, tuition benefits

Through the partnership, Ivy Tech students will receive coordinated academic advising from Ivy Tech and Trine University to ensure program completion and seamless transfer between the institutions.

Ivy Tech graduates will receive guaranteed admission to designated programs on Trine University’s Angola campus. Students in Angola campus programs also will benefit from transfer scholarship opportunities.

More information about the Guaranteed Transfer Admission Program is available at trine.edu/gtap.

Those who enroll in programs offered through TrineOnline will receive discounted tuition.

As part of the expanded partnership, Ivy Tech employees and spouses will receive discounted tuition when they enroll in TrineOnline bachelor’s degree programs.

“We’re glad to partner with Ivy Tech to help their employees as well as their students reach their educational goals, as both our institutions work together to meet the educational needs of this region,” said Bennett.
