As the OTD program’s Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC), I coordinate Level I and Level II clinical rotations for students. I also help students throughout the curriculum apply what they are learning in class within their clinical work and reflect on these experiences with their peers in the classroom.

I have a passion for assistive technology, which is reflected in my prior work experience. My other specific interests relate to work and industry, home modifications, virtual reality, 3D printing and robotics. I will teach Assistive Technology in OT in the fifth semester of the curriculum.

I have contributed to research and scholarly articles relating to the work and industry practice setting, the impact of service-learning opportunities on student perceptions of working with persons with disabilities, and the utilization of virtual reality in the rehabilitation field.

I serve as chair for the Work and Industry Special Interest Section (WISIS) through the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Additionally, I became certified as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through the Rehabilitation and Engineering Society of North America (RESNA) and acquired an Executive Certificate in Home Modifications (ECHM) through the University of Southern California’s School of Gerontology in 2022.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, exercising, board games, cooking and spending time with my family. I am supported by my wife Sarah and our two boys, Ayden and Liam.
