My interest in science began in fifth grade and after attending a GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science) summer camp two years later, I knew I wanted a career in the field. I majored in chemistry education with the hope of developing skills suited to both industry and the classroom.

After five years working in industry, I came to Trine as the Science Lab Manager. My time in the role reignited my passion for working in the labs, teaching, and building strong relationships with students. Now, as the chemistry lab instructor, I thrive in finding creative ways to connect lab skills to real-world applications for students from a variety of majors. From safety skills to faithful data representation to critical problem solving, chemistry labs offer a great chance to build confidence and set students up for success no matter where life takes them.

When not at Trine, I enjoy reading, cooking delicious food, walking local trails, board games, volunteering at my church, and spending time with my husband, friends and family.
