My journey into biology started with a childhood love for PBS Kids shows about nature, sparking a genuine curiosity for the natural world. This led me to Michigan State University, where I dove into a degree in Biology. During my studies and work as a tutor, I discovered a passion for teaching.

In 2014, I accepted a role at Trine in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering and Bioprocessing as a lab technician. Those 9 years were a fantastic experience, working with amazing students, faculty, and staff. Now, in 2024, I've circled back to my roots in biology, achieving a long-time goal of becoming a professor in the science I love. Besides my biology degree, I also picked up a Master's in Engineering Management from Trine in 2020.

Beyond the academic setting, you'll find me exploring state and national parks, enjoying time with my wife, our pets, and playing video games. I love sports as well, with football being my favorite.
