From posting on social media to accessing a bank account online — even reading a web page like you’re doing right now — computers, data and the Internet are an integral part of our lives. Within that space, game design has exploded, with millions competing in multiplayer online events.

The Bachelor of Science in computer and information technology degree is designed to prepare you for a wide range of endeavors in information fields. With courses in network security, digital forensics and data mining, you will benefit from hands-on learning experiences. The game design minor covers areas such as game design history and development.
What will I get to do?
Students have participated in cyberdefense competitions and a capstone experience that includes working with a local business to create a solution for a real-world problem. The Computer Science and Information Technology department is a member of the Microsoft Academic Alliance and a CompTIA Academic Partner.
What can I do with a computer and information technology degree with a minor in game design?
Graduates of our computer and information technology program are ready for jobs in the information and technology industry, business, public service and other professions. Possible job titles include security and performance analyst, web developer, information management specialist, network administrator, business analyst, usability engineer and database administrator.
CIT graduates are also prepared for prestigious graduate schools and can pursue a variety of programs. In addition, the game design minor will prepare you to create your own video game and build a portfolio.
