Trine University invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program in the areas of human medical anatomy, medical physiology and pathophysiology. The first course starts Fall semester.
The Trine University Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences in Fort Wayne addresses a significant regional need for outstanding graduates and is being strongly supported by the region’s largest health systems. The School’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs are located in newly renovated, state of the art facilities on Parkview Hospital’s Randallia campus, near downtown Fort Wayne.
Candidates with a desire to participate in the implementation of a high quality, evidence based, and student-centered curriculum are encouraged to apply. Teaching in the areas of human medical anatomy, medical physiology and pathophysiology are the greatest need, but depending on individual qualifications and interests, opportunities exist for teaching in related areas such as pharmacology and clinical sciences.

Required Education

A PhD in physiology, biology, anatomy or a related field and demonstrated excellence in college level teaching, preferably at the graduate level. Evidence of ability to successfully engage in research and the peer-reviewed dissemination of results is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As adjunct faculty, the successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to teaching including course development and assessment.


Salary is is based upon the number of credit hours taught and the number of students registered for the class being taught.
