Summary

The Data Integration & Programmer Analyst position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of data integration processes, using Microsoft SSIS, SQL stored procedures, transact SQL, or other ETL/programming tools; maintaining custom web forms; and creating documentation. This position reports to the IT Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently analyzes data integration requirements and documents ETL processes.  Responsible for designing and developing integrations between and among applications
  • Design, develop, implement and support administrative software systems including Jenzabar, StarRez, Slate and Raisers Edge 
  • Design, develop and implement web programs utilizing EX Form Flow, ColdFusion, Izenda and other programming standards (JQuery, JavaScript, C#)
  • Troubleshoot production issues according to service level targets 
  • Provide excellent customer service in all written and verbal communications
  • Work with University departments to identify ways to redefine and improve business processes 
  • Identify innovative solutions that support the University mission
  • Identify and assist with implementation of application development best practices 
  • Provide support for the Web content management system 
  • Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools such as Microsoft SSIS.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, stored procedures, ColdFusion, JavaScript, C# and programming
  • Working knowledge of Infomaker, Izenda or similar report writers
  • Experience with a higher education ERP application, especially Jenzabar EX, StarRez, Slate and Raisers Edge
  • Experience supporting a Web content management system
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and ability to estimate work effort and meet deadlines
  • Higher Education IT experience desired
  • Ability to manage projects, people and multiple tasks in an organized fashion
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
  • Pays great attention to detail and create documentation

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
