98.8 percent of grads employed or in grad school

December 18, 2015

DEC. 18  – Trine University has again posted a high graduate employment rate, bringing its three-year average to 98.3 percent. Trine has a 98.8 percent rate for 2015 grads, 99.7 percent for 2014 grads and 96.5 percent for 2013 grads.

Within six months of graduating, 98.8 percent of 2015 grads were employed or continuing their education, such as graduate school.

“We are committed to ensuring a strong return on investment for a Trine degree,” said Earl D. Brooks II, Trine president. “Our high employment rate reflects the determination of our devoted Employment Resource Center team; dedicated faculty, coaches and staff; and, of course, our career-focused students.”

Trine’s rate surpasses the national three-year average of 70.9 percent as reported by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) for graduates for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 in the Career Services Benchmark Survey for colleges and universities. NACE is scheduled to release the rate for 2015 grads in January.

Faculty members with industry expertise deliver quality instruction and provide students with the skills demanded by employers. The Employment Resource Center, formerly known as the Office of Career Services, enhances opportunities for career success with a series of programs, including mentoring, internships and career fairs.
