Ceremonies pay tribute to employee, grad student
As a descriptive word, "academics" doesn't do much in the way of expressing what learning at Trine is really like. Here, knowledge is lived. Our students and faculty put their knowledge to work in ways that solve real problems facing real communities throughout Indiana, across the region, and around the world. At Trine you'll see that learning is never some static thing. It's what challenges and inspires us all at once.

Tree dedication ceremonies honor
deceased employee, graduate student
The Trine University community on Friday (April 17) honored two community members who died recently.
Graduate student Anjuman Vahora passed away last weekend after a short battle with cancer. Anjuman’s family traveled to campus to meet students and friends and attend the tree dedication ceremony that took place between Best Hall and Forman Hall. Travis Wilhelm, campus minister, encouraged students and family members to share their memories and love for Anjuman during the ceremony and offered a prayer for the family.
Friday afternoon, a tree dedication ceremony in memory of Les Gowthrop, a Trine employee who died April 10. The ceremony for Les took place near Fabiani and Platt halls along Thunder Drive. Les had been a painter at Trine and often drove athletic teams to events. Pastor Wilhelm invited everyone to share memories of Les before he led a prayer.
Flowers were presented to each family as part of the ceremony.
