International Thanksgiving

More than 160 students attended Trine University’s 22nd annual International Thanksgiving in the east gym of Hershey Hall on Thursday, Nov. 17.

Besides international students, the event also included faculty, administration, host families, conversation partners, student government and members of the Multicultural Student Organization (MSO).

Student speakers expressed gratitude for student government, the Conversation Partner program, the MSO, Study Abroad, graduate school and the Christian Campus House.

Mari McHenry, director of international community services, said the number attending the event doubled from last year.

“We are excited for it to continue to grow as the international student population grows, as well as the community that is a strong part of the international students’ lives while they study in the United States,” she said. “Space will certainly be an issue in the next few years.”
