Nineteen sisters from Trine University’s Theta Phi Alpha sorority volunteered at Pokagon
State Park on Saturday, Oct. 22. The sorority sisters donated a total of 21.25 hours
of service to the park, collecting bags of trash and trimming back the hiking trails.
Sorority members had previously helped at the park during the Martin Luther King Day
of Service, and the entire sorority decided to return in the fall.

Golfers and sponsors at Trine University’s 36th annual Alumni and Friends Golf Outing contributed a record amount for student scholarships, raising $115,000 at the Aug. 7 event.
It may sound like all fun and games, but two Trine University faculty members gave academic presentations during North America’s largest board gaming convention.
What started as a hobby for Trine University graduate Ali Syed has blossomed into the sweet smell of success.
