Fox awarded Hershey Scholarship

Alexander Fox, a Trine University junior from Plymouth, Indiana, was awarded the General Lewis B. Hershey Scholarship during halftime of Trine’s Oct. 27 football game.

The General Lewis B. Hershey Scholarship was established in 1988 by Army, Navy and Air Force veterans in Canada and the United States to honor General Lewis B. Hershey, Trine University alumnus and former director of Selective Service for the United States. The recipient is to be a Trine University sophomore or junior who has demonstrated academic achievement (minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA) and leadership potential. 

Son of William and Yvonne Fox, Alexander Fox is a graduate of Plymouth High School who is pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering. He marches in Trine’s Sound of Thunder marching band and is a member of Christian Campus House ministries, Phi Eta Sigma and the National Society of Leadership and Success. He is also an Eagle Scout.
