'Mock lock up' raises more than $900

Lock upA “mock lock up” on Thursday, March 15, raised more than $900 to help students from Trine University’s Tau Alpha Omicron (TAO) chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association (ACJA—Lambda Alpha Epsilon) attend the organization’s national conference in Cleveland, Ohio.

Four Trine University students and staff were “arrested” by ACJA students on charges ranging from spicy burritos to smiling too much on Mondays. Each was held in the mock lock up over lunch in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Commons until they raised $200 in “bail money.”
