Students bring International Education Week to Ryan Park

Ryan ParkInternational and teacher education students from Trine University gave presentations to the first-grade classes at Ryan Park Elementary School taught by Christina Minick, Julie Witherspoon and Christine Mills on Thursday, Nov. 15. Trine students from Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Japan and Argentina gave presentations, and led craft activities and games related to their countries. They were joined by Trine mascot Storm and students from the university’s Franks School of Education. The visit was part of Trine’s celebration of International Education Week from Nov. 12-16.

Education One’s first cohort of instant admit students settle into campus life

As a higher education authorizer, Education One at Trine University understands the importance of providing all public charter school students with equitable access to post-secondary educational opportunities, regardless of socioeconomic background. To address access barriers that exist for marginalized students in these Trine-sponsored charter schools, the authorizing office has teamed up with additional university personnel to intentionally expose Trine charter students to campus and the instant admissions process.
