Trine University received more than $22,000 in grants from the Steuben County Community
Foundation at the foundation’s annual meeting Aug. 9 in Club Z inside the MTI Center.
Steven Nicolet, director of annual giving, accepted checks totaling $22,341 from funds designated to Trine and managed by the foundation from Jennifer Danic, president and CEO of the foundation. Some of the funds are designated for student scholarships, while others will support the Trine Fund.
The foundation awarded more than $300,000 to more than 50 local nonprofits at the event.
Trine University presented special Presidential Awards for Excellence in Performance to two longtime staff members during the Board of Trustees luncheon on May 2.
A Trine University alumna is preparing to compete in her sixth Miss Indiana pageant, with the hope of further supporting her efforts against bullying.
With its namesakes in attendance, Trine University broke ground on what university President Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., hailed as “a launching pad for innovation, creativity and collaboration.”
