John StoneLAKEWOOD, Colo. — Strategic Construction Solutions, Inc. is pleased to welcome John R. Stone, a Trine University graduate, to its team as president.

Stone, who graduated from Trine in 1982 with a degree in civil engineering, will oversee the company’s operations nationally. He is responsible for supporting the strategic growth, operational efficiencies and client relationship development across the energy and specialty construction markets.

“Our Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) and Design-Build practices have experienced significant growth in recent years. I am thrilled to be a part of this great team and look forward to building on our platform as we continue to focus on our clients and the solutions they expect,” Stone said.

Stone brings more than 25 years of experience from the industrial and renewable energy industries, including experience in utility operations, power delivery, siting, asset management, construction and business development. He has extensive financial, engineering and strategic planning knowledge and specializes in managing risk and developing roadmaps to success. Prior to joining Strategic Construction Solutions, he was vice president of solar at Apex Clean Energy where he worked with various departments to clarify Apex’s focus on solar.

In addition to his Trine degree, Stone holds a master of business administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

“John will be a great asset for this growing segment of our business” said Atwell vice president, power & energy, Matthew Bissett. “We needed a strong, experienced leader to oversee the EPC operations and his technical and management expertise in the power and energy markets were a perfect fit.”
