Kendra Perkins, a management major from Kokomo, Indiana, has been named the recipient
of the Trine University Law Scholar Award from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney
School of Law for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The Trine University Law Scholar award is offered to one exceptional Trine student
or alumnus each year in recognition of his or her outstanding undergraduate achievements
and academic promise. The award includes a renewable half-tuition scholarship and
a guaranteed experiential learning opportunity upon completion of 32 law school credit
hours.
Perkins hopes to complete a dual-degree program at IU McKinney to earn a juris doctor
and a master’s degree in health care administration. She hopes to eventually work
with hospitals or medical device organizations.
At Trine, Perkins has been a member of the university choir and cheer team, and served
as philanthropy officer for Theta Phi Alpha sorority and president of the College
Panhellenic Council.
In 2018, she completed an internship with the Beacon Fellowship, which provides students
with higher-level, direct consulting experience in overseas settings. Perkins worked
in Rome during her fellowship.
