Alum's company assists in remote work

QureshiWhen Shakil Qureshi graduated from Tri-State University in 1973 he would never have guessed that the skills he learned in his mechanical engineering classes, thinking rationally and using logic to tackle a problem, would be serving him so well in 2020. Qureshi is founder and CEO of Futron, Inc., a provider of IT/Telecommunications, Engineering Professional Services, Internet of Things (IOT), and Design Build Construction solutions to the US Government.

Futron provides consolidated voice, data and video capabilities over secure and encrypted architectures, which has made it possible for government employees to telecommute during the COVID-19 pandemic. The technology employed by Futron has never been more important as employers see the value of having systems in place that allow for the seamless transition to remote working.
