A lesson for the avatars

April 23, 2021

MursionEllie Cole, an elementary education major from Albion, Indiana, presents a lesson using Mursion virtual reality training in the EDU 463 Educational Media and Technology class at Trine University on Thursday, April 22. The Mursion platform allows Trine’s education students to practice situations such as teaching a classroom or conducting a parent-teacher conference in a low-stress environment. During the simulations, the Trine students interact with avatars, which are powered by artificial intelligence and guided by trained professionals. Depending on the simulations, the avatars can be designed to represent and interact as students or parents. (Photos by Dean Orewiler / Trine University)
