Trine’s MSO presents Open Mic awards

Trine University students were treated to demonstrations and performances during the Multicultural Student Organization’s annual Open Mic Night, held March 31 in Fabiani Theatre.

First place was awarded to Nasir Al Mutlaq, a chemical engineering major from Saudi Arabia, who gave a photography demonstration.

Kelsy Taylor, a marketing major from Louisville, Kentucky, and Geordi-Lee McIntyre, a criminal justice major from Marion, Indiana, tied for second place. Taylor gave a spoken presentation, which McIntyre sang.

Emily Eidson, a management major from Huntington, Indiana, earned third place for her singing performance.

The remaining participants received honorable mention: Maggi Buza, a forensic science major from Plymouth, Indiana; Zachary Hoehn, a mechanical engineering major from Crestwood, Illinois; Chandler Hutton, a computer engineering major from Fort Wayne, Indiana; Wisemen Jordan-Clark, a chemistry major from Indianapolis; and Mary Padilla, a biology major from Leo, Indiana.

A total of 86 students attended.
