Community members are invited to experience food samples, entertainment and more at
“Flavors of the World,” Trine University’s 56th annual iNight (International Night) on Saturday, April 5.
The event, sponsored by the Steuben County Community Foundation, Gurukul Overseas
and the Carnegie International Students Institute, will take place from 3-6 p.m. in
the MTI Center and is free and open to the public.
This year’s iNight will include African drum demonstrations and lessons, henna tattoos
and a caricature artist.
Main-floor entertainment will feature a mariachi band and Scottish bagpipes. Activities
will include the opportunity to paint different nations’ flags, bingo, a STEM project
for kids and karaoke.
Food trucks and locations inside the MTI Center will offer samples of food representing
different countries.
iNight enables students, faculty and staff from other nations to share their cultures
with the Trine campus and local community. The event also provides an opportunity
for all to experience and celebrate Trine’s growing international population and embrace
its members as part of the community.
